The Erie County Water Authority (ECWA) has completed the replacement of 7,000 linear feet of existing water mains on multiple streets located in the Town of Cheektowaga and Village of Lancaster.
The work included replacing old, smaller diameter water mains with new 8-inch water mains that will improve service delivery, fire protection, and provide more reliable service for customers.
The $2.2 million infrastructure investment project was funded through the ECWA’s 2021 budget, which included $55.2 million for system-wide infrastructure upgrades.
