ECWA recently began construction work to replace a 30-inch transmission main on Main Street at the
I-290 ramp in Amherst. There will be a traffic lane restriction; however, work will take place during the overnight hours of 8:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m. to avoid impacts on traffic during the morning and evening work commutes.
Construction will have no impact on service delivery in the area as the water system is operating normally and able to fully meet customer demand.
Work is expected to be fully completed in 45-60 days.
