Charles E. Eaton currently serves as Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Erie County Water Authority. Mr. Eaton is a government professional with more than 30 years experience at the federal, state, and local governmental levels.
Prior to his service as COO, Mr. Eaton served for nearly 19 years as Chief of Staff to U.S. Representative Brian Higgins of Western New York. In addition to time serving Mr. Higgins during his service in the New York State Assembly, Mr. Eaton also previously served as Chief of Staff to the Erie County Legislature, the statutory appointing authority for Commissioners of the Erie County Water Authority. During his tenure with Erie County, Mr. Eaton served as a principal staff member assigned to the Legislature’s Energy and Environment Committee.
A resident of the town of Amherst and father of three college-aged children, Mr. Eaton holds a B.A. degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
